TAB Show Doubles Down on Sales, Marketing, New Competition Focus

- Auto, Social, Digital, Content, Measurement, New Tech and MORE

Stations’ drive to serve local advertisers and audiences in a fractured media landscape is front and center at the 2018 TAB Show Aug. 1-2 in Austin which features the industry’s top experts to help GMs and their sales teams build revenue and grow their advertising base. A series of technology sessions and a 137-booth trade show featuring the latest broadcast gear for engineers, plus a special track of sessions for new entrants to the industry round out the agenda. The program starts at 2 p.m. Wednesday and wraps by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Golfers play a morning round, Austin music lovers get their fill of Mobley at the Kick-Off Party, and “The Daytripper” Chet Garner regales the Golden Mic Club on Day 1.

NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith opens Day 2 with an inside look at the industry’s recent policy victories and imminent challenges at the Leadership Breakfast, while top FCC attorneys provide a regulatory update on key concerns.

The Show wraps Thursday night with the Awards Gala featuring the presentation of Texas broadcasting’s top honors.

New Location, Easy Registration
The new JW Marriott in Downtown Austin hosts this year’s TAB Show, the first new location in 15 years, giving music and food lovers a chance to take in Austin’s legendary offerings after hours.

All sessions, along with the opening Kick-Off Party, the Leadership Breakfast, lunch and the Exhibit Hall Happy Hour, are open to full registrants for just $140.  Trade show-only passes are available.  The only ticketed events are the Awards Gala and the Golden Mic Club banquet.
