TAB Convention registration opens tomorrow – May 1

Texas broadcasting’s biggest event is right around the corner!

Registration for TAB’s 61st Annual Convention & Trade Show opens on Thursday, May 1.

The event, set for Aug. 6-7 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, features a day and a half of high impact seminars for managers, salespeople and technical staffers, as well as some great networking opportunities.

Confirmed speakers include Paul Weyland, Bridget Brennan, Holland Cooke, Graeme Newell, Pat Bryson, and many more.

Several “Sales Idea Exchanges” will be held on Wednesday afternoon, encouraging broadcasters to swap their innovative sales solutions on a variety of topics.

Technical topics will include IT Networking, “The Connected Car” by Jacobs Media and Emmis Radio, AM Revitalization, Repacking, FCC Compliance, among others.

Governor Mike Huckabee will be the keynote speaker at the Awards Gala on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 7 pm.

The gala also features presentation of TAB’s Awards for Educator, Broadcaster and Pioneer of the Year. TAB’s newest award – the George Marti Award for Engineering Excellence – also will be presented.

The Trade Show, open from 9 am to 5 pm on Thursday, Aug. 7, will showcase the latest broadcast products and technologies in 127 exhibit booths.
