FOX44 is looking for that enthusiastic Multimedia Journalist who can develop, pitch, and deliver a great story, online and over the air. We want someone who knows how to take the big story and make it bigger. Our focus is on breaking news and what is vital to Central Texans, reporting live and digitally on our website. Our MMJs are the key to get information across to the audience in a clear and concise manner, while always looking for exciting new ways to make this happen.
The Multimedia Journalist Reporter produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and feeds news production content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.

Experience:
The successful candidate will have strong news writing skills with an emphasis on relevance and accuracy. Candidate must maintain knowledge of current events, online trends, and social media. Familiarity with ENPS, Adobe Photoshop and BitCentral, and editing software.
This is not a programming/technical position, but knowledge of those skills is helpful in the position.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience preferred. Priority will be given to candidates with producing and web experience.
Must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions with limited supervision that may impact results of station and/or co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors occasionally in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. In addition, must be able to lift, set up and operate equipment weighing up to 45 pounds, and to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Repetitive movements are required. Work may be conducted in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions.
