Experience:
This role will also involve daily in-depth and investigative local news reporting for 15 counties in the Austin, Texas area.
Requirements:

•   Producing and anchoring breaking news and live events with video, sound, graphics and guests, as appropriate. Working closely with the assignment desk to be aware of stream opportunities associated with local, state, national and international breaking news, and other live events.
•   Oversee all KXAN Live streaming content, holding each stream accountable for quality and execution, and managing a growing catalog of original programming for an online audience.
•   Researching new stream concepts and interactive elements.
•   Knowledge of the stream center and its technical capabilities.

CONTENT CREATION RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Create daily original reports for KXAN.com and social media with multi-media elements. Some will be in service of hosting live stream content; others will be original reporting with multi-media elements.
•   Create video on-demand from live stream content, using those clips to enhance WordPress reports and generate social media interest.
•   Work with the digital team to meet video creation and story publishing goals, sharing content for Nexstar’s nationwide digital distribution.

•   Have excellent news writing skills
•   Be highly organized
•   Deliver for an online audience
•   Have strong, charismatic on-air presence
•   Be able to ad-lib in dynamic situations
•   Be able to troubleshoot with minimal oversight
