TBEF offering $21,000 in college scholarships

TAB and its affiliated Texas Broadcast Education Foundation are offering $21,000 in college scholarships for Texas students pursuing a career in broadcasting.  The new Ann Arnold Scholarship is in the amount of $5,000; eight additional scholarships are in the amount of $2,000 each.  Please alert any interns or college students you think would merit such financial assistance to this opportunity.

Scholarship applications are due April 15^th.  Students can bypass the stated membership criteria by interviewing the owner or general manager of a local broadcast station and submitting a transcript or report of the interview with the application.

Applications will be reviewed by the TBEF Board of Directors.

These scholarships provide a great opportunity to advance the next generation of Texas broadcasters.  Again, please spread the word!
