TAB’s Public Service Project: Questionnaires due Feb. 15

TAB’s annual effort to document the value of broadcasters’ public service launched in January.

TAB has documented more than $4.3 billion in contributions to local communities over the past 14 years, but Texas broadcasters must continually remind lawmakers of their unwavering leadership in service to local viewers and listeners.

The TAB Public Service Project collects data from Texas’ 1,300+ radio and television stations on their total amount of public service airtime donated, station contributions to charities, public service staff salaries and more.

Each station’s information will be kept confidential; only aggregate figures will be released.

As in past years, Dr. August Grant, former University of Texas professor, will be supervising the project to ensure accuracy.

TAB mailed questionnaires to all Texas stations on January 14.

Contact TAB’s Teresa McAnally or call (512) 322-9944 with questions or if you need additional copies of the questionnaire.
