TAB’s 2020 Political Broadcasting Webinar Now Archived for Online Viewing
posted on 1.27.2020This month’s 90-minute TAB webinar reviewing the FCC’s political broadcast regulations is now available for viewing in the Member Services section of www.tab.org
Scott Flick, an attorney with TAB's FCC counsel Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, discussed six key broadcasting obligations contained in the FCC’s political broadcast rules as well as in laws passed by Congress:
- Reasonable Access
- Equal Opportunities
- Lowest Unit Charge
- No Censorship
- Sponsorship Identification
- Recordkeeping/Disclosure Regarding Political Advertisement Requests
The webinar also reviewed an additional Texas sponsorship identification requirement for political advertising contained in the Texas Election Code.
