TAB to Honor Sinclair’s Ostmo

TAB is presenting the inaugural Distinguished Service Award to longtime broadcast engineer David Ostmo.

The award will be presented at the Annual Awards Gala (Thurs., Aug. 2 at the JW Marriott), part of TAB's 65th Annual Convention & Trade Show.

Based in San Antonio, Ostmo is the Regional Engineering Director for the Sinclair Broadcast Group.

He oversees technical operations for 29 SBG stations in Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa and Utah.

He moved to San Antonio in 1992 as Director of Engineering for KABB-TV and has since risen through the ranks to his current position.

In addition to helping stations across the country better serve their communities, Ostmo has served countless terms on TAB’s Convention Planning Committee – driving the success of the Technical Programs and the Trade Show.
