Southwest Broadcast Newsroom Workshop

TAB and the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters will stage a day long, multi-track newsroom seminar on Oct. 29 in Dallas on the campus of Southern Methodist University.
More than 150 broadcasters came to the last newsroom workshop there in 2009.
This year's event will feature of the state?s best broadcast journalists, Texas legal experts and a few nationally known newsroom trainers with sessions for broadcast professionals in radio and TV newsrooms.
The workshop will take place from 8 am ? 6 pm on the SMU campus in the Umphree Lee Center.
While staged primarily for working professionals, university level broadcast students are also encouraged to attend.
The cost is $50 for professionals and $20 for students and includes the full day of sessions as well as lunch.
TAB will be announcing the full schedule of presenters and more details shortly, but in the meantime, save the date!
