Save the Date: TAB’s 2023 Legislative Conference Jan. 31

With voting underway for the upcoming general election, it’s time now for Texas broadcasters to begin preparing for the 2023 legislative session which starts with making plans to be in Austin Jan. 31st for TAB’s biennial legislative conference.

The one-day event runs from 10AM to 2PM and features in-depth policy briefings on Open Government and advertising issues, followed by face-to-face discussions with lawmakers and their constituent broadcasters over lunch.

Registration opens Nov. 1 for station owners, general managers, news directors and sales managers. TAB coordinates lawmaker invitations.

Save the Date

The event focuses on building or strengthening personal relationships which are especially key as lawmakers’ schedules grow increasingly hectic throughout the session.  The connections made at this event have helped TAB move legislation at critical times in past sessions.

In addition to advancing measures important to the industry, TAB is prepared to protect the extensive, hard-won tax policies and newsroom protections key to stations’ ability to inform, entertain and protect local communities.
