Help restore a Texas treasure

TAB is working with Texas First Lady Anita Perry to elicit the public?s participation in the Governor?s Mansion Restoration Project.
The mansion suffered significant damage this summer from arson.
When the Legislature convenes in January, they will be asked to appropriate needed funds to assist in the restoration of the "Texas Treasure." Private funds, however, are needed to provide for the best and most historic elements that may not be covered by state funds.
Private funding also will be needed to ensure the mansion is safe, functional and historically preserved for at least another 150 years.
Texans are encouraged to make donations, large or small, to this important project.
Governor's Mansion Plate (by Varsity China)
The Texas Governor's Mansion Restoration Fund is excited to announce Varsity China, a Texas company, is producing a Governor?s Mansion plate as the third in their Texas Series, which currently includes the Capitol and the Alamo.
A portion of all sales will benefit the Texas Governor?s Mansion Restoration Fund.
These plates are not just for display! They make lovely dinnerware and are made in America; all plates are lead-free, dishwasher-safe and microwave-safe.
The Texas Governor?s Mansion Plate will be available in early November 2008.
