FCC Releases Latest Random EEO Audit List, 13 Texas Stations Getting Letters

The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau this week issued the second of its 2023 Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) audit letters to randomly selected radio and television stations. 

Thirteen of those stations are in Texas, 12 FM stations and one AM station, in markets as small as Canyon and Stanton, to as large as Austin and Houston.

In accordance with section 73.2080(f)(4) of the FCC’s EEO rules, the Enforcement Bureau annually audits the EEO programs of randomly selected broadcast licensees. 

Approximately five percent of all radio and television stations are selected for EEO audits each year.

The deadline for stations to upload responses to their FCC-hosted online public inspection files is Dec. 14.
