FCC Contemplates Revoking Texas FM Station License for Non-Payment of Nearly $12,000 in Annual Regulatory Fees

The FCC has initiated a proceeding to revoke the license of KIJN-FM Farwell for failure to pay seven years of delinquent regulatory fees, associated interest, administrative costs, and penalties owed to the commission.

The regulatory fees alone amount to nearly $12,000.

The FCC also directed licensee Unidos Para Cristos to pay the overdue regulatory fees and associated interest, penalties, and administrative costs, or show cause why the payment demanded is inapplicable or should otherwise be waived or deferred.

The commission sent had previously sent demand letters to KIJN but the licensee did not pay its required annual regulatory fees.

The station has 60 calendar days to make the full payment or show why it cannot or should not be required to do so.
