FCC annual fees due

FY 2008 Annual Regulatory Fees must be paid to the FCC by Sept. 25. 

Payment may be made by check, money order, credit card, electronic debit or wire transfer, and can be submitted either in paper or electronically. 

Payments not made by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 25 will face the addition of a 25 percent late fee.

Beware of phishing sites! 

TAB Associate Member law firm Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth has discovered at least two phishing sites that have been set up in an apparent effort to obtain confidential financial information from stations attempting to file FCC regulatory fees on-line. 

The FLH staff says when paying fees, stations should be cautious to ensure that the site accessed is, in fact, the FCC's official site, and not a cleverly disguised impostor.
