DTV Update: April 1 satellite feed

On Wednesday, April 1, at 11 a.m. (EDT), the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) will re-distribute three new DTV Action spots that discuss hooking up a converter box, the importance of antennas and re-scanning.
This re-feed also includes a Spanish language version of the re-scanning spot, which was not included on the March 27 feed.
Both the "Hooking Up Converter Box" and "Antenna" spots include two 25/5-second taggable versions, one with the June 12 date and one without a date reference.
Also, the re-scanning spot will meet one of the consumer education requirements passed by the FCC, which take effect on April 1.
The feed, with a total of 10 spots in English and 10 spots in Spanish, will run approximately 18 minutes.
The 30-minute, standard-definition feed will include:
Fully produced "Hooking Up Converter Box" spot
- 30, 25/5s (2), and 15-second versions
- English followed by Spanish
Fully produced "Antenna" spot
- 30, 25/5s (2), and 15-second versions
- English followed by Spanish
Fully produced "Re-scanning" spot
- 30 and 15-second versions
- English followed by Spanish
All spots are closed captioned.

**Note: In the past, some stations did have issues with the closed captioning getting stripped from the spots when they were dumped into editing systems. Please have traffic managers/producers check to make sure that the captioning is still present before these spots are placed in rotation.**
