Broadcasters honored for NCSA contributions
posted on 8.17.2015TAB honored several Texas radio and TV stations for their participation in the Non-Commercial Sustaining Announcement program.
An NCSA is a special kind of PSA that allows TAB to partner with stations and non-profit or governmental entities to deliver important, often life-saving public service messages while also generating revenue to support TAB’s member service.
These are entities that don’t have the funding to buy a paid statewide campaign.
"The NCSA program is a win-win-win that benefits the sponsoring organizations, the people of Texas and TAB’s member stations," said Gayle Kiger, chair of TAB's NCSA Committee and president/GM of KCEN-TV Waco-Temple-Bryan.
"From recruiting top-notch, Texas-grown talent for the National Guard or Air Force Reserve, to promoting water conservation and safe driving, TAB’s NCSA program makes a tremendous difference in the lives of all Texans."
The awards were presented as part of TAB's Annual Convention & Trade Show, Aug. 6 in Austin.
