Awards honor stations' commitment to public service

TAB annually honors Texas radio and television stations for their outstanding achievements in community service.

The Bonner McLane Awards are named for TAB's longtime executive director who died in 1987.

This year's awards were presented on Thursday, Aug. 9 at the Community Service Awards Breakfast, part of TAB's 54th Annual Convention & Trade Show.

TAB is proud to recognize broadcasters' exceptional service in the public interest, based on a station's year-long efforts in the community (from June 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007).

Awards are distributed in four radio market categories and three television market categories. Each winner receives a $500 TAB voucher and an award in recognition of their efforts.
