TMA’s Anson Jones, MD, Awards

Earn Recognition for Health Reporting  

If you reported health and medical news this year, the Texas Medical Association invites you to enter its Anson Jones, MD, Awards competition. Whether you’re in a small or large market or whether you produced short or in-depth radio or television news reports, there’s a category for you.

Any work first broadcast during 2021 by a Texas-based station is eligible, and it’s free to enter.

Check out the updated award categories. If you have a well-rounded, large body of work this year, you also might want to enter the Texas Health Journalist of the Year category.

TMA physicians and members of TMA’s Council on Health Promotion judge the competition, along with former journalists from news publishing and broadcast fields. These Texas journalists took top honors in this year’s competition.

Entry deadline is Jan. 10, 2022.
