TAB Political Broadcasting Workshop

In preparation for the 2014 Texas political year, TAB has arranged a Dec. 5 webinar/seminar featuring Bobby Baker, the FCC's chief of political broadcasting and attorney David Oxenford, of TAB Associate member law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, to review the FCC’s political broadcast regulations.

Baker and Oxenford will review the FCC’s political broadcast regulations affecting candidate on-air appearances, candidate political advertising and third party political advertising.

Topics include sponsorship identification for such advertising, political file recordkeeping, political advertising sales practices, lowest unit charge/lowest unit rate (LUC/LUR), news exceptions, etc.

TAB will webcast the seminar live from 2-5 p.m. so station staff can get an update on the FCC’s political broadcast rules without having to leave the office.
