Wayne retires from KSHN

Allen Wayne, longtime morning show host at KSHN Liberty will retire July 26.  He has been on the air in the area since 1977.

“He has been here through two hurricanes, a couple of tornadoes, three major freeze events and a few prolonged power outages and has been the calm, stabilizing voice for locals who only had one local source of news,” said Bill Buchanan, KSHN owner.

“Allen Wayne Day” was celebrated July 23 in Liberty County to honor Wayne’s contributions to the community.
