New NCSA campaign targets aggressive drivers
posted on 6.01.2015The message in the Texas Department of Transportation’s June/July/August “Be Safe, Drive Smart” campaign concerns aggressive driving.
If you've ever been passed on the wrong side, tailgated, cut off or hemmed in by another vehicle, you've been the victim of an aggressive driver. Texas drivers may be fined up to $200 for each moving violation associated with aggressive driving and could spend time in jail.
According to the American Automobile Association, eight out of 10 drivers surveyed rank aggressive driving as a “serious” or “extremely serious” risk that jeopardizes their safety.
They further report that aggressive driving accounts for more than half of all traffic fatalities.
For the safety of us all, please air and report your airtime for this important NCSA campaign
