Two more are open to students at any Texas college or university, including community colleges.
Other named scholarships honor luminaries in the Texas broadcast industry, including the legendary Vann Kennedy; former KPRC-TV Houston leader Tom Reiff; TAB’s first executive director, Bonner McLane; and the Belo Corporation, former owner of WFAA-TV Dallas, KHOU-TV Houston, KVUE-TV Austin and KENS-TV San Antonio.
