Third, Final EAS Test Report Due Sept. 23

- All EAS Participants Must File

Broadcasters are required to file their third and final report on the Aug. 7 National EAS Test on or before Monday, Sept. 23. Form Three requests detailed, post-test data regarding the filer’s participation in the test, including the source from which the participant first received the test message.

Form Three filers also may provide information about any complications they may have experienced in the receipt or retransmission of the test.

The FCC’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau in a recent public notice emphasized that the information will provide the FCC important information on technical and operational performance that can help identify any needed steps for further improving EAS as a reliable alerting tool.
