Texas Radio Station Enters FCC Consent Decree Over Public File Issue

The FCC has resolved its investigation of Eduardo Gallegos, licensee of KRIX-FM Port Isabel, by entering a consent decree.

The Media Bureau had suspended processing of KRIX’s 2021 license renewal because it found the station was not in compliance with the FCC’s public file obligations as specified in section 73.3526.

The FCC said Gallegos agreed “to implement a comprehensive compliance plan to ensure future compliance with his online public inspection file obligations and, one year after entering into the Consent Decree, submit a compliance report to the Audio Division.”
