“Texas Originals” Radio Series Highlights Lone Star History

Humanities Texas – the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities – is reminding Radio stations of its “Texas Originals” series profiling men and women whose life and achievements had a profound influence on Texas history and culture stretching from our earliest days through the 20th Century.

With more than 150 profiles, the “Texas Originals” series was developed by Humanities Texas in partnership with Houston Public Radio and Austin PBS. Episodes are available only in English at this time; Spanish language episodes are pending.  Episodes are available at no cost to all public and commercial radio stations in the state.
