Texas Bar Foundation names Babcock Outstanding Trial Lawyer

The Texas Bar Foundation will present the Ronald D. Secrest Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award to Chip Babcock, partner the Jackson Walker law firm.

The annual award recognizes a trial lawyer who has demonstrated high ethical and moral standards and exceptional professional conduct, thus enhancing the image of the trial lawyer.

Over the course of his career, Babcock has handled many high-profile litigation matters including more than 100 jury cases as well as represented a myriad of Fortune 500 clients, both as plaintiffs and defendants.

In 2015, The Dallas Morning News and Texas Lawbook named Babcock a "Lion of the Texas Bar."

“Texas broadcasters are not surprised to learn of this latest award for Chip Babcock," said TAB President Oscar Rodriguez.

"He has long been respected as one of the media’s strongest defense attorneys and the Secrest Award underscores his extraordinary prowess at trial.”

Texas broadcasters named Babcock TAB's Associate of the Year in 1997, honoring his outstanding work protecting the interests of Texas' free, over-the-air radio and television stations.
