TAB Show Highlights Revenue, Audience Growth Opportunities

Texas broadcasters are gearing up for the 2019 TAB Show Aug. 7-8 in Austin which is squarely centered on the industry’s indispensable role in a cross-platform world.

Delegates can choose from nearly 30 different sessions covering topics ranging from hardcore sales training and advanced marketing strategies to digital revenue and audience opportunities, and technology deep-dives.

The 140-booth exhibit hall showcases the industry’s leading vendors of nearly every kind of equipment and service broadcasters need.

Registration fees increase after Friday.

Bob Hoffman, known as The Ad Contrarian, underscores the “Power of Broadcast” in what promises to be a fiery opening keynote, discussing how the “digital delusion” and the obsession with “precision targeting” are hurting advertisers and why broadcast media are the keys to successful consumer brand building.

From there, delegates ranging from account executives and sales managers to GMs and engineers, will have their choice of nearly 30 sessions to advance their selling skills, master new closing techniques, explore new digital opportunities, grow key ad categories and get up to speed with a range of regulatory, technical and legal developments.

More than 110 exhibitors on Thursday will be showcasing the most in-demand and innovative technology and services stations need, with ample time available for delegates to test the gear and talk with vendors.

He closes the program dubbed the “AE Series” with an extended “proposal workshop” that delves into the single most impactful thing a salesperson can do to grow revenue.

And Beyond…
Beyond the AE Series, delegates have another 25 sessions on sales, marketing, competitive media, talent recruitment, auto advertising, operations management and a wide range of technology issues.

In addition to Hoffman and Steenbergen, headline speakers include David Rich, Rob Russo, Laurie Kahn, Brad Seitter, Sam Matheny, Sasha Javid, Anne Schelle, Doug Ferber, Steve Walsh, and Fred Baumgartner, to name a few.
