TAB Public Service Award Entries Due May 6

-$500 Cash, Headline Event at TAB Show

Radio and TV stations across the state have an opportunity to showcase their best work in serving local communities and vie for top honors, cash prizes and recognition at the Leadership Breakfast opening Day 2 of the 2022 TAB Show Aug. 3-4 in Austin.

The Bonner McLane Public Service Awards are presented to six Radio and TV stations for their exemplary community service. Entries are open only to TAB member stations.

Submissions are due May 6 and should demonstrate creativity, originality, and positive impact on an issue of overriding concern to a station’s community. The process is completely electronic.

PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD SUBMISSION GUIDELINES, ELECTRONIC ENTRY

Each winning station receives a $500 cash prize to use however the station chooses and a custom plaque designed just for this award which honors TAB’s first executive director, Bonner McLane, who passed away in 1987.

The Leadership Breakfast is one of the highest profile events at the TAB Show, featuring a keynote conversation with a top industry leader or policymaker in addition to the presentation of the Bonner McLane awards.
