TAB Political Broadcasting Webinar set for Dec. 17
posted on 10.05.2015TAB has arranged for an informative end of year webinar to review the FCC’s complex political broadcast regulations, just in time for the beginning of the 2016 political season.
This special two-hour webinar takes place on Thursday, Dec. 17 from 1-3 pm CST (12-2 pm MST).
That’s exactly one month before the March 1 primary window opens on Jan. 16, 2016.
There is no registration fee for TAB member station staff, but station employees need to register individually in advance to be ensured a spot for the online presentation.
The webcast will be archived online and accessible to registered participants for six months, so it’s also crucial to do so even if one misses the webinar itself due to a schedule conflict.
The presentation will be live, with an email available for questions.
Log-on instructions will be emailed to registrants prior to the webinar date.
The presenters are two familiar faces to TAB members, Bobby Baker, Federal Communications Commission and David Oxenford, of TAB Associate member law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP.
Baker and Oxenford will cover a number of topics related to the FCC’s political broadcasting regulations. Topics covered include lowest unit rate, third party issue advertising, reasonable access and equal opportunities, sponsorship identification and public file requirements.
