TAB Opens 2021 with Sales/Management Summit, Recruitment Focus

TAB is launching 2021 with a host of new training services for member stations – all offered at no additional cost. The expansion of direct services approved by TAB’s Board of Directors in December is designed to help stations start the New Year on the right foot by focusing on recruiting talent, onboarding rookie sellers, juicing leaders’ management skills and prepping Radio stations for the 2021 license renewal process.
New Services Launching Jan/Feb 2021
Rising Above Sales & Management Media Summit Jan. 27-28 – Derron Steenburgen and Speed Marriott lead this day and a half virtual training summit featuring six other industry trainers to teach, coach, inspire and motivate teams to rise above the challenges of today’s sales environment.
Local Sales Recruitment Management Training – Starting Feb. 4, Laurie Kahn, CEO of Media Staffing Networks, takes managers through an intensive eight-part, Q1 program focused on attracting, training and retaining sales teams.
Texas Radio License Renewal Workshop Feb. 9 – TAB’s FCC legal counsel, Scott Flick and Lauren Lynch Flick with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, walk Texas Radio GMs through the license renewal process and review the FCC forms that will be used, including Form 2100 – the new license renewal form.
P1+ Onboarding for First Time Sellers – This program is designed to help AEs with less than two years’ experience go from rookie to ready in less than seven weeks. Enrollment is limited for quarterly classes starting in January, March, July and September. The January class is sold out and registration for the March class opens soon. TAB’s Technical Academy, a COVID casualty, will launch this fall when Texas broadcast engineering legend Gil Garcia introduces the Certified Radio Operator/Chief Operator certification program at TAB’s Ann Arnold Center in downtown Austin.
