TAB online political file webinar now online

 - June 3 session archived for viewing

TAB has posted its June 3 TAB Executive Briefing webinar, Moving the Station Political File Online, in TAB’s video archive for those stations still seeking to review this upcoming FCC requirement.

All TV stations in the smallest 15 of Texas’ 19 TV markets face the July 1 FCC requirement to move the station’s political file online.

This includes commercial and non-commercial stations as well as Class A LPTV stations.

Stations affiliated with the ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX networks in the Austin, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston and San Antonio markets have been under the requirement for some time.

Starting July 1, the other TV stations in those markets must comply as well.

To help those stations new to the process, attorneys Scott and Laurie Flick with TAB’s FCC counsel Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, covered the mechanics of the requirement during the webinar, as well as reviewed a recent round of complaints filed against 11 stations (none in Texas) concerning their failure to properly comply.

The TAB Executive Briefing Webinars are a FREE TAB member station service.

There is never any limit to the number of member station staff who can register for one of the sessions.

The webinar series is now on its annual summer hiatus and will return in September.
