TAB Hosts Aug. 27 Webinar on UIL Rules

Just in time for the fall Texas high school football season, TAB will host a webinar next week to review the University Interscholastic League’s broadcast and streaming rules.

The 30-minute online refresher presentation will take place at 2 PM CDT on Aug. 27 and will feature the UIL’s Media Coordinator Kate Hector.

Hector joined the UIL staff in September of 2012 and serves as the League’s primary contact and media spokesperson. 

She will cover securing broadcast and streaming rights to UIL-sanctioned events such as high school football games, prohibitions of live broadcasts and streaming of UIL events, prohibited content during UIL event broadcasts or streaming, and media rights for UIL playoff and State Championship events.

Hector also will show broadcasters how to best use the UIL’s website for media information, regulations and guidelines, etc., and will field questions at the end of the session.
