TAB celebrates stations' public service contributions

Texas broadcasters came together in Austin to celebrate radio and TV stations' outstanding commitment to serving their local communities.

TAB's Community Service Awards breakfast featured keynote addresses from NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith as well as SCM Mark A. Weedon, Texas National Guard.

The Nexstar Broadcasting Group sponsored the keynote addresses.

The Texas National Guard has been TAB?s longtime partner for the breakfast.

The event, held on Aug. 11 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, also included presentation of TAB?s Lone Star Leader and Bonner McLane Public Service Awards.
