TAB to Recognize Radio & TV Stations of the Year

TAB instituted the Station of the Year Awards in 2024 to recognize a Member Radio and Television station for overall excellence.

All aspects of a station’s operation are considered – including news, public/community service, station promotions, local programming, recognition from industry/community groups, participation with TAB and special efforts in other areas.

The awards will be presented at TAB's Annual Awards Gala, Thursday, Aug. 6

The event will be hosted by Quita Culpepper, KVUE-TV Austin.

KXAN-TV Austin

KXAN stands apar with bold, in-depth investigative journalism, live breaking news coverage and a commitment that goes beyond reporting to serve Central Texas.

Radio Station of the Year

Cox Media Group San Antonio

CMG San Antonio delivers outcomes. They collaborate across five formats and audiences, and the cluster operates as a unified force, amplifying every initiative on scale.

Highlights include $7.7 million in donated airtime, 18,000 pounds of flood relief supplies delivered during the Hill Country disaster and three blood drives that earned the President's Award of Merit from the South Central Association of Blood Banks.

The stations in the CMG San Antonio group are united by a commitment to use the power of local Radio to drive awareness, inspire action and create meaningful connections - earning the trust of the San Antonio.
