Ten-Minute Trainer (TMT) Network Offerings

Political Advertising Rules Workshop Jan. 14

Presented by TAB’s FCC legal counsel, Scott Flick with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, this webinar is a MUST to ensure stations don’t subject themselves to costly fines and lawsuits in this era of heightened political acrimony.

This program is limited to member stations only, but it’s easy to join here.

See more details on the workshop in this issue of the TABulletin.

FCC, Public Service, News Awards Deadlines

With a heightened focus by the FCC on broadcasters’ obligation to work in the public interest, it’s imperative to complete TAB’s annual Public Service Research Survey by Jan. 16.  DETAILS

For many stations, their daily and investigative reporting is the hallmark of their service to local communities, and the Texas Broadcast News Awards program is designed to recognize the top performers in the Lone Star State.  While the celebration is slated for April 11, the deadline for submitting entries is Sunday, Jan. 25 – no exceptions!  DETAILS

Don’t make any unforced errors by missing mandatory FCC deadlines starting with the Jan. 10 TV/Radio quarterly issues/programs list and the TV FCC Class A eligibility certification.  These reports must be posted to a station’s online public file with the FCC can check at any time and remember that base fines start at $4,000.

TAB’s 2026 Broadcast Calendar, available to all stations, includes all FCC and TAB deadlines and event dates.
