The Society of San Antonio Radio Broadcasters will induct 10 broadcasters into their Hall of Fame on October 3.
The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is comprised of people who worked in radio broadcasting in San Antonio prior to 1991.
The SoSARB mission is to provide an opportunity for veterans of the broadcast industry to gather, socialize and recall the "Good Old Days" of Radio.
The group also has been the steward of the San Antonio Radio Hall of Fame since 2013, selecting inductees through an annual nomination and vetting process that guarantees recognition of candidates from all job positions and all decades.
The 2020 inductees include John Barger, Tom Bray, Bob Crowley, Joe Ernest, Mary Lanoue-Gers, Richard Martinez, Jim Sharon, Dan Walthers, Bob Webster and Sally Yates.
During the Centennial of San Antonio Radio in 2022, SoSARB plans a series of fundraising events with all proceeds going to the establishment of the San Antonio Radio Broadcasting Museum.
