Jarrott receives award and appears in play

David Jarrott received the Telly Award for “The Day The Earth Shook,” a corporate training video for IBM Corporation’s Crisis Management Teams.  Jarrott wrote and directed the video.  The Telly Awards honor outstanding film and video and was founded in 1979.

Jarrott is also appearing at Zach Theatre’s production of “Dividing the Estate” through July 1 as well as shooting scenes for the film “Flutter."

His previous station affiliations include KCNY San Marcos, KNOW, KHFI, KTBC-TV, KXOL, KNOW, KEYI, and KKMJ Austin.  He was inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame Hall of Honor in 2002.

Stricklan releases new CD

Jim Stricklan is releasing “Duets,” a compilation of favorite duets spanning 30 years of recording. 

Included are songs with Sara Hickman, Larry Rothwell, Maryann Price, Doug Taylor, Sally Townes and others. 

The CD will be released July 1 and can be purchased online from www.frontroommusic.com.

Stricklan has written hundreds of songs. He has worked in broadcasting over 30 years. 

His station affiliations include KBYG Big Spring, KBPI, KIMN, KBRQ and KERE Denver, KLOL Houston, KWKH Shreveport and KATG Austin.
