Hendry changes careers

John Hendry has changed careers and is now training with Stevens Transport of Dallas as a commercial driver and looking forward to seeing the country from behind the wheel.

His previous station affiliations include KGKL San Angelo, KTUE Tulia, KDDD/KMRE Dumas, KLUR Wichita Falls, KXYL Brownwood, KKYN Plainview, KIXZ Amarillo, KDJW/KBUY Amarillo, KTEO San Angelo, KIXY San Angelo, KETR Commerce, KEMM Commerce, KBLK Burnet, and KIKM Sherman.

Green named chief-of-staff of Texas CAP

Jerry Green has been named chief-of-staff for the Texas Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force.

It is a nonprofit organization with more than 61,000 members nationwide (including nearly 3,500 in Texas), operating a fleet of 550 aircraft.

He also will be part of the Texas delegation during the CAP National Legislative Day March 1 in Washington, D.C.

Green and his wife, Laurie, will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a trip to the Cayman Islands in March.

His prior station affiliations include KAND Corsicana, KECK Odessa,

KRBE Houston, KHFI/KTAP/KTVV Austin, KNOW Austin, KTPX-TV Midland, KCRS Midland, KLVI/KYKR Beaumont and KXYL Brownwood.

Stricklan announces new CD

Jim Stricklan recently released his new CD and single “Dancing Me Home” available at www.frontroommusic.com.

Stricklan has written hundreds of songs and released 18 albums.

He has worked in broadcasting for more than 30 years.

His station affiliations include KBYG Big Spring, KBPI, KIMN, KBRQ and KERE Denver, KLOL Houston, KWKH Shreveport and KATG Austin.
