Pioneer Broadcaster Buddy Bostick dies at 98
posted on 1.06.2017M.N. "Buddy" Bostick, longtime Texas television owner, passed away Jan. 4. He was 98.
Bostick founded KWTX-TV Waco in 1955 and grew the station from a fledgling independent to an established market leader, eventually adding stations in Bryan, Sherman and Lafayette, Louisiana, before selling to Gray Television Group in 1999.
In 1996, his fellow Texas broadcasters presented him with the Pioneer of the Year Award - TAB's highest honor.
There will be a private graveside service at Moody Cemetery.
