Organ donation NCSA campaign begins

TAB's latest NCSA campaign starts today (runs through Aug. 31).

The campaign is sponsored by the Texas Department of State Health Services and focuses on organ donation.

Of the more than 96,000 patients in the United States awaiting transplantation -- more than 7,000 are Texans.
Every 13 minutes, a new name is added to the national transplant waiting list.
Every day, 17 people die waiting for a life-saving organ transplant.

The NCSA spots send people to www.donatelifetexas.org.

TAB mailed tapes and CDs to all Texas stations earlier this month.
