Bonner McLane Public Service Awards
Texas broadcasters’ service to their local communities is one of the industry’s hallmarks and these awards are intended to showcase extraordinary and innovative efforts to address important community needs conducted between May 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.
Winning stations each receive a $500 voucher to offset registration fees for TAB events. Vouchers may not be used to offset membership dues or Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program fees.
Stations nominate themselves in their respective market categories and must submit entries for consideration electronically by May 4. There is no charge to enter.
2018 Awards Presentations
The awards will be presented at TAB’s Annual Convention & Trade Show Aug. 1-2 at the JW Marriott in Downtown Austin. The event outgrew its longstanding home at the Renaissance Hotel in the northwest sector of the city, and the new location downtown will provide top-caliber meeting facilities, a larger exhibit facility and immediate access to popular music and dining spots in the “Live Music Capital of the World.”
TAB’s Convention Planning Committee is developing the program for station owners, managers, sales teams and engineers now, and members are encouraged to submit their program suggestions by March 1.
