Nia Towne joins KIII-TV as News Director

Nia Towne is taking the News Director spot at KIII-TV Corpus Christi.

She most recently was Managing Editor/Digital Media Manager for CBS21 News in Harrisburg, PA. She also previously oversaw digital news operations for CNYCENTRAL New York and served as Interactive Content Producer for News10 Medford, OR.

“South Texas is filled with pride, culture and community,” Towne said.

“It’s my new home and I am honored to serve and advocate for the people who have put their trust in this station to deliver impactful news and information and help bring positive change to our communities.”

“Her valuable expertise in creating multi-platform content will help us continue to reach and serve the people of South Texas.”

KIII-TV3 is the TEGNA-owned station ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi, serving the coastal bend of the Texas gulf coast. The station celebrated 55 years in broadcast television this month.
