More FCC “Timely-Filing” Consent Decrees with Texas Broadcasters

The FCC has announced another consent decree it has entered into with a Texas radio station licensee for Station Public Inspection File lapses self-admitted in the station’s license renewal filing.

Rufus Resources, LLC, revealed the untimely public file uploads in FCC station license renewals filed earlier this year.

In each case, the four stations failed to timely upload elements of the political file component of the public file.

The FCC said the stations were not fined due in part to a lack of any history of prior offenses by the licensee.

Instead, the stations in Christine, Dilley, Hebbronville, and Kenedy, voluntarily entered consent decrees with the FCC to implement a multi-pronged, comprehensive compliance plan to ensure future compliance with station online public inspection file obligations.
