Mark “Sparky” Levy is coming to the TAB Convention

TAB is bringing nationally-known sales trainer Mark Levy to the TAB Convention in August for two great sessions on holding better meetings and generating more revenue and ratings.

But don’t take it from us! Here’s Mark’s take on why YOU should attend!

Dear Texas Broadcasters:

Good morning - Mark “Sparky” Levy here. By now you may have heard that courtesy of your TAB, I’ll be doing 2 sessions at your 60th Convention at the Renaissance Austin Hotel, and I’d love to have you join me for one or both!

“Meetings That Stick” takes place August 7, from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm in the San Marcos Room. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Oh joy, oh rapture, a meeting on meetings.”

It is true that we spend a lot of time planning, conducting and sitting in meetings. And unfortunately it’s also true that many people would rather have bamboo shoved under their fingernails than attend another meeting. This session will give you some practical tools to help you conduct better meetings, meeting after meeting. And I promise, this one WILL end on time!

“Revenue and Ratings Idea Extravaganza” takes place August 8, 2013 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Sony Room.
It’s big, it’s exciting, and it may actually help programming and sales work better together! “Bushwah” you say! “It can’t be done!” Well, we’ve actually found it can be done.

We know that most stations face the age-old battle of “What can we sell that buyers will want to be a part of, that won’t cause audience tune-out, and, oh yeah, will make us a buck or two in the process?”

So, we’ll look at some ways to determine these things, some pitfalls to avoid and of course, some of the best revenue and ratings promotions we’ve seen, sold and competed against.

Great sessions, a huge exhibit hall along with the the food and entertainment of Austin make this a convention you don’t want to miss.

So come out and bring your management team.

Think of it as a great way for all of you get out of the station, clear your heads, spend some quality time together, learn (or be reminded) of how to do a better job of leading and managing your people and maybe taking some steps to get along better yourselves!

Register today!

Looking forward to seeing you at your TAB Convention!
