Thanks to Our 2019 PEP Lone Star Leaders
posted on 8.14.2019Broadcasters honored the fantastic contributions Texas Radio & Television stations have made to TAB's Public Education Partnership in 2019.
TAB presented the Lone Star Leader Awards on Thurs., Aug. 8 during TAB's Leadership Breakfast.
The awards represent stations' commitment to the program, including number of spots aired and greatest dollar amount donated.
"We deeply appreciate the valuable airtime stations contribute to this program and work hard to ensure the fees we receive for the campaigns are put to work on your behalf," said TAB Board Member Brian Purdy, Regional President for Entercom.
"The services funded by the PEP program include invaluable political updates, as well as all the legal guides and legal hotlines that cover all kinds of advertising regulations, newsroom law, FCC rules and more. PEP also funds our annual newsroom workshop, 24/7 online training for sales teams, managers and other key station staff.
"Your support has allowed TAB to retain the same dues structure we’ve had for more than 20 years, while greatly expanding Member Services and offering them free of charge or at a nominal fee," Purdy said.
