- April 12 Event in Austin Showcases Best of Texas Radio/TV News

Time is running short to join in celebrating Texas Radio and Television broadcasters’ best journalism of 2024 at the Fourth Annual Texas Broadcast News Awards on April 12 in Austin emceed by Texas-based radio consultant and author Andy Meadows.

The event opens with a networking reception at 5:30 PM at The Westin Austin Domain in the heart of the capitol city’s premiere shopping and dining destination, with discounted hotel rooms still available.

TAB’s general counsel law firm, Jackson Walker LLP, is the lead event sponsor, joined by Audacy and Sinclair Broadcast Group.

Tickets are sold out, but TAB has established a waiting list as seats often become available in the final run-up to the celebration.  Tickets are $96/person and include the networking reception and three course dinner.

TAB last month announced 74 winners, plus 53 finalists for the most competitive categories. Three TV stations and two Radio stations are finalists for the vaunted Carole Kneeland Award.

The program is a successor to the now-defunct Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awards.
