Applications due for Kneeland New Media Forum
posted on 1.10.2013The Kneeland Project is seeking applications for its Spring 2013 New Media Leadership Forum.
This session for innovative and dynamic news directors will be held April 10-13 in Austin at the TAB offices.
Applications are due by Jan. 31 and only 18 news directors will be selected for this program.
Thanks to the Project’s generous funders, this session is nearly free for selected applicants.
The Kneeland Project pays all tuition costs as well as accommodations.
Participants cover only transportation and a few meals.
The seminar has an innovative new agenda that engages high-level content experts and focuses on the changing nature of the broadcast journalism business.
It will tackle such issues as:
- What's missing from your social media strategy?
- The world can be sloppy - leadership and ethics in a 24-7 socially networked world
- What's happening to our business - what's ahead in the next three, five, ten years?
- Big J Millennials?
- Our viewers have changed – now it's our turn
- How newsroom systems must evolve to meet the changing challenges of our business
Most importantly, attendees leave the program with a solid plan to guide leadership decisions starting the day one returns to their newsroom.
The Kneeland Project strives to provide concrete action items to implement immediately that will make a difference in one’s newsroom...and in their life.
