KKBQ-FM/The New 93Q and Papa John’s Support Kingwood High School Senior Picnic

Cox Media Group Houston’s KKBQ-FM/The New 93Q and Papa John’s Houston teamed up to provide the seniors at Kingwood High School the ultimate Senior Picnic.

The New 93Q performed a live broadcast and hosted the Randy Rogers Band in a surprise performance.

Papa John’s Houston also provided pizza for the 600+ seniors and faculty.

Kingwood High School was forced to close its doors last fall for nearly seven months because of devastating flood damage from Hurricane Harvey, which struck Houston last August.

The school rallied to reopen this past March, just in time for senior graduation.

Today’s festivities were in honor of the school and its Class of 2018.

“Everyone at The New 93Q is proud to partner with Papa John's in celebrating the courage and perseverance of the Kingwood High School students, said Johnny Chiang, Operations Manager, Cox Media Group Houston.

"Their unwillingness to let Hurricane Harvey impede efforts to learn and grow is a shining example of what makes Houston strong."
