FCC visiting seven TX markets for DTV outreach

FCC commissioners will visit at least seven Texas markets before the Feb. 17th analog TV switch-off to raise consumer awareness about the DTV transition.

Houston and Austin are up first on Sept. 17 and 18. 

Radio and TV stations alike should prepare for requests from the FCC for additional airtime for DTV Transition PSA?s in conjunction with the FCC events. 

TV stations in the targeted markets also will be asked to participate in soft tests of the analog switch-off.
