FCC Ownership Report Due

The FCC's Form 323 will be due in 2010.

For the third time in three months, the FCC has cancelled the Jan. 11 deadline for mandatory filing of station ownership reports.

The agency released a previously-delayed Form 323 earlier this month but filers were forced to manually enter data since electronic uploading wouldn't work.

The commission said it will work on improvements and promises to give stations 90-days to file once a new deadline is set.

The new Form 323 with detailed ownership information must be completed biennially by all commercial full-power AM, FM, TV, LPTV, and Class A stations, with a uniform filing date, rather than filing at license renewal.

The first filing must include information current as of November 1, 2009, and that date won't change with the deadline extension.
